The All of Us Research Program of UAB Medicine is a large research program. The goal is to help researchers understand more about why people get sick or stay healthy. We want one million or more people to join and share info about their health, habits, and what it’s like where they live.
Researchers will use this to do studies. This may help improve health for everyone.
Drive Electric Alabama is a statewide coalition dedicated to improving our state through the adoption of electric vehicles. In 2009 Laura Crandall Brown passed away at the age of 25 from ovarian cancer. Today, the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation works to fulfill this threefold mission: offering hope through early detection research of ovarian cancer, empowering communities through gynecologic cancer awareness, and enriching lives through support.
The Shades Valley Camera Club, serving the Greater Birmingham, Alabama metro area, was organized in 1954 and has functioned continuously since its inception. The club’s purpose has not changed – sharing the fascinating hobby of photography.
While the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve is free to access, it is not free to maintain. We are a nonprofit organization that has provided a free service to our visitors and the State for over 13 years, which includes security, maintenance, educational programs, and all of the visitor amenities you enjoy today.
Founded in the Fall of 2015, the Alabama Fellows Program is one of thirteen currently active Schweitzer program sites across the U. S. dedicated to developing a pipeline of emerging professionals who enter the workforce with the skills and commitment necessary to address unmet health needs.
