Sidewalk is Birmingham’s only non-profit, independent movie theatre and film festival. Our cinema hosts both new and repertory screenings, and also offers educational programs and private events. Our annual Sidewalk Film Festival is happening August 19-25, 2024. The Sidewalk Cinema is located in the heart of downtown Birmingham’s historic theatre district in the newly renovated Pizitz Building, located at 1821 2nd Ave. North.
